This site sells and plays Piano Legends Live. It's run by me, Robert Schmuck, a musician and sole trader based in Scarborough, UK. I'm responsible for the personal details collected here. If you have any questions, or want to see, correct or delete what I hold about you, email [email protected].
What I collect and why
- Your email address when you unlock the album with a code. It ties the code to you, so you can play the album on any device and nobody else can use your code. I'll send you one email with your code to keep. This is needed to provide what you bought.
- Your order details when you buy online: name, email, and for a CD your postal address. Payment is handled by Stripe, and I never see your card details. I use these details to deliver your order and email you about it, and I keep them for my tax records.
- A simple record each time a code is used: the date, the country, and the type of device and browser. It helps me spot a code being misused and sort out problems if you get in touch.
- The mailing list, only if you tick the box. I'll occasionally email you about new albums and shows. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can just reply and ask.
I don't sell or share your details with anyone for their own marketing. There's no advertising and no tracking on this site.
Cookies
When you unlock the album, your browser keeps one small cookie so it stays unlocked on that device. It contains no personal details and isn't used for anything else. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
Who else handles your details
These companies provide services I use. They act on my instructions and keep your details secure:
- Stripe processes payments.
- Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the code and order records.
- Resend sends the emails.
- Royal Mail receives your name and address to deliver a CD.
Some of these are based in the United States. Where your details are handled outside the UK, they're protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long I keep them
Order records are kept for as long as UK tax rules require, currently at least five years after the tax year they relate to. Your code registration is kept for as long as the album is available, so your code keeps working, unless you ask me to delete it. You stay on the mailing list until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details I hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, or object to how I use them. Just email me. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
